Good afternoon.
I found your site which was linked to my online Petition on trying to end cyberbullying and cyberharrassment @ http://www.gopetition.com/online/30501.html. My Website above sets out in detail my own experience with cyberharrassment, which I understand is the correct term used when referring to ADULTS who bully and harrass other ADULTS on the internet. The very sad thing about the particulars relating to my experience with cyberharrassment is that the women involved (and some men) are not 18, 19 or 20 year olds and they are NOT single adults, rather the particular ADULTS involved are mothers, grandmothers and greatgrandmothers, nor are they uneducated or unemployed ADULTS but are for the most part professional working class individuals. The online smear campaigns by people the likes of the individuals involved in "my" situation is just not right. Please join in signing this online Petition to help try to put and end to both cyberbullying and cyberharrassment by demanding from the powers that be to have stiffer penalties for anyone who engages in such online activities - there is NO excuse nor reason why appropriate Laws cannot be put on the books in every State across the Nation. Cyberharrassment may not involve the bullying of children but when you think of what may become of the child/ren in the care, custody and control of the ADULTS who take such delight in harrassing and trying to ruin other peoples lives, reputation and character anywhere, whether it be online or in their "real" lives, it is a very scary, scary thought. Children are learning by example from the ADULTS in their lives that if you want laughs at the expense of others then cyberbullying and cyberharrassment is acceptable behavior. Thank you and I do hope you join in signing our Petition.
